Life. To be continued. Sounds of the heart.

History of Polina’s inhale and exhale.

We continue to save human lives by uniting hearts in parallel. After all, good exists in the world. It is the good that can radically change destiny. Even seemingly doomed people. Once again, your indifference helped save lives - money was raised for the treatment of Polina Pinchuk- a small fidget who was diagnosed with a heart defect. Thanks to the indifference of ordinary people, she managed to raise money for the operation to install an occluder - a special device that closes the hole in the heart.

Our life is a continuous series of choosing a path and opening the doors behind which the future lies. Of course, the choice of path and its consequences depend on us for the most part. But sometimes we can be guided by the kindness and compassion of others. That’s exactly what happened to Polina. After all, if you do not respond to a request for help, it is unknown what her fate would be. And now she will be fine. And not only with her, but also with relatives who do not tease souls in this nimble girl.

This is understandable when you first visit the Pinchuk family’s apartment. Even their apartment is a whole world that revolves around Polina. To her delight, the whole house is hung with balloons and literally littered with soft toys. Last time we visited Polina on the eve of her third birthday. Then, despite the upcoming holiday, the atmosphere in the house was quite gloomy. After all, Polina had health problems that prevented the active and restless girl from being her own in the company of peers. After all, she got tired very quickly. She complained to her mother about heart pain, slept badly, woke up panting.

Six months have passed since that day. Polina’s behavior has not changed at all. She is just as cheerful, mobile. Like a little sun it attracts people’s attention. But Polina’s health has changed, now her heart is absolutely healthy!

- Memory- such an interesting thing. Probably, she is trying to forget everything difficult. I now remember this period as if everything was not with me. Or in a dream. All these tears and tantrums after I found out about the vice. All these fears of the husband and the doctor that there can be complications. I was crazy. Even when I was told that if it comes to surgery, the problem will be solved completely, the child will not have a disability, and he will start living a normal life , inhale and exhale freely, without suffocating. I was worried after the operation, when the catheter was removed. But nothing, in a few days he came to his senseswe were discharged very quickly , - recalls Alina, Polina’s mother.
- Maybe I’ll forget all this in time, but some things seem unforgettable to me. I remember very well how quickly they raised money for us, how people responded . Then a lot of people called us. Both adults and children called, although they could not help with money, but supported the baby with a kind word, which, you will agree, is also important. Even a blind man from Canada called from childhood. Called repeatedly. Even on the day of the operation. They called from the monasteries, prayed, wished the girl a speedy recovery. It seems to me that such an attitude cannot be forgotten. After all, any amount, any kind word, it is small, but a contribution to a great cause - the recovery of our daughter. Therefore, when they say that our people have somehow changed for the worse, it is not true. They are the same , good ones! - share Alina’s memories.

Polina’s operation lasted two and a half hours and was successful. The next day, the girl ran through the corridors, which alarmed the doctors. The surgeon even asked the mother to hold her daughter’s zeal a little, because she needed rest after the operation.

Now Polina is all right. She runs down the street, skates, plays with other children. She no longer has speed limits, and even intrajectory of movement. She runs around the site, rides a bike. She is no longer tormented by constant shortness of breath. Soon she will be able to swim, go dancing. These are mom’s plans. Polina herself wants to go to kindergarten and school. And all this bright and bright future is possible only thanks to human indifference, thanks to you, our readers and partners, you did not stay away from someone else’s misfortune and helped a small, restless, wolf-like Polina.

"Polina !" Come on, stop it! Get out of there now! Polina ! Who am I talking to! - Once again, Pauline’s mother called out.
