He was waiting near the operating theater: a sculpture of a boy waiting for his father was installed near the hospital.

The sculpture is a real boy, 12-year-old Timofey Chernyshkov. At the end of January, doctors transplanted lungs to his father, Oleksandr Chernyshkov.

This was announced on the page of the medical association.

The sculpture was made by Lviv artist, associate professor of the Department of Monumental and Decorative Sculpture of the Lviv National Academy of Arts Oleksandr Honcharuk.
The sculpture was installed next to the St. Panteleimon Hospital of the First Medical Association of Lviv. The child looks at the operating unit and everyone who passes by is inspired by his faith and hope.Photo: First Medical Association of Lviv

«And while the patient was on the operating table, the child, whom the father is raising alone, was standing under the door of the operating room. The boy was waiting: the door is about to open and he will hear that everything is fine with dad», – the doctors write.

Timofey said: the sculpture – is very similar to him. The boy's father could barely contain his emotions. The patient has already been discharged from the hospital. Now the family lives near Lviv.
