Amendments to the Rules of External Evaluation for Visually Impaired Persons
Today, April 5, the order of the Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Health of 14.02.2019 № 194/331 "On amendments to the order of the Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Health of 29.08.2016 № 1027/900", registered in the Ministry of Justice on 11.03.2019 for № 237/33208.
This order introduced the EIT for visually impaired people who used Braille in the learning process. In particular, providing certification work with tasks adapted for people with profound visual impairments, printed in relief-dot font for writing and reading blind (Braille); additional time for certification work is included in the total time allotted for certification work; reasonable adaptation of external independent evaluation procedures and determination of external independent evaluation results for people with profound visual impairments.
Such persons may be registered for an external independent assessment in the Ukrainian language and literature, mathematics, history of Ukraine, and biology. Forms of entrance examinations in other competitive subjects are determined separately in terms of admission to higher education institutions, approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine each year.
